VISION
What being human means, has been a question on the human mind since the very beginning, and one that we intend to continue exploring with everyone who visits us.
Because when everything comes to an end, all we have is the experience of being human, and we believe this realization is the key to choosing what kind of experience we want for ourselves.
At Himle Himle we wish to provide a space that enriches this experience. Not just for the individual, but for the collective as whole. By creating a framework of nature, community, culture and facilities aimed toward improving the wellbeing of our guests

OUR CALLING
The idea of creating Himle emerged from a blend of moments – perhaps born from frustration, ecstasy, or profound encounters with nature. Around 2020, two separate projects, one in Roskilde's lush forest and the other on Agersø island, shared a common vision: to connect with nature, community, and self. Despite facing numerous obstacles that nearly extinguished their dreams, a stroke of luck emerged in June 2023 when the projects joined forces on Agersø. Led by individuals spanning different generations, the collaboration aimed to transform the old campsite at Egholmvej 23 into a retreat venue intertwining body, mind, and nature. Renovation, establishment, and planning have been ongoing, nearing completion. As we prepare to welcome our first guests in spring 2024, Himle symbolizes the resilience born from adversity and the power of collaboration across generations.
THE HUMANS BIHIND HIMLE
At the heart of Himle's journey are individuals who bring a wealth of expertise and passion. Mads Søgaard, the founder, brings a keen eye for detail and extensive project management experience. He's joined by Malthe Rieper-Holm Andersen, who infuses our brand with artistic flair and cultural insight. Hermann Adam Mogensen oversees building and logistics, applying his craftsmanship and sustainable building knowledge. Lai Yde, another property co-owner, contributes teaching and HR expertise, fostering a supportive work environment. Renowned chef Rasmus Faber joins us to elevate our culinary offerings with his commitment to sustainability and local sourcing. Together, we're dedicated to realizing Himle's vision as a haven of nature, community, and self-discovery.
